Geography

Ethiopia is not a large country compared to United States.  Its  area is 1,104,300 sq. miles, which is only 13.7% as large as the U.S.  Ethiopia is landlocked and is considered to be a high plateau with a central mountain range that divides the country.  It is also prone to volcanic activity and has several active volcanoes.
Ethiopia has one major river, the Blue Nile, which is the major head stream that leads into the Nile.  The Blue Nile forms into Lake Tana, in the northwest area of the country, before flow off into the Nile.

  1. Those are good maps. I did not know that there were volcanos in Ethiopia. That's really cool.
